Reinhold Schlegelmilch (RS) Prussia 'Hidden Image' Lidded Sugar Bowl, Antique‎

This beautiful piece is a Reinhold Schlegelmilch (RS) Prussia sugar bowl, specifically in the highly sought-after Hidden Image or Iris mold style. R.S. Prussia was a brand of porcelain produced by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factory in Suhl, Germany, and later in Tillowitz, Silesia (which was part of Prussia at the time). The company was known for its high-quality decorative porcelain, particularly hand-painted items featuring floral motifs, portraits, and scenic designs. Their pieces were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and remain highly sought after by collectors today. The R.S. Prussia mark, often featuring a star and laurel wreath, was used from around 1894 to 1918. The porcelain itself is characterized by its fine quality, often with a glossy finish and intricate detailing. Many R.S. Prussia pieces, such as plates, bowls, vases, and chocolate sets, are considered valuable collectibles due to their craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal.
