Vintage Arnart Japan bisque Jasperware wall plaque, Courting Couple, Pink

Vintage Arnart Japan bisque Jasperware wall plaque featuring a 3D relief of a Victorian courting couple in pink and white. This beautiful piece imitates classic English Wedgwood Jasperware, featureing matte unglazed bisque porcelain in contrasting colors with a raised white cameo-style overlay. The scene depicts a romantic, classical courtyard scene of a man bowing to a woman, framed by an ornate scrollwork border and highlighted by cherubs (cupids) at the edge. The plaque is rendered in a soft, delicate pastel pink, highly sought after by collectors and would make great nursery decor. Most pieces with this specific Original Arnart Creation label date from the mid-1950s through the 1960s. The stamped symbol featuring crossed arrows with fletching is the specific registered trademark for Arnart Imports Inc.
