These geta sandals are a special collaboration between BEAMS JAPAN and the geta maker Uratuka Koubou, based in Hita City, Oita Prefecture. They feature a rounded hinoki wood base with a smooth curve designed to fit the foot. The unpainted natural hinoki wood provides a comfortable feel and the warmth of the wood. The outsole uses a BIRKENSTOCK sole, offering moderate cushioning, slip resistance, and durability. The thong straps are made from traditional Japanese cotton fabric, selected for its softness and cushioning, which molds to the foot with wear. These sandals, which enhance comfort and ease of walking, are more than just geta; they are geta sandals, an evolution of traditional Japanese footwear.
